Gunpowder. Origin China

Gunpowder tea from China is the prime example of China’s method for processing green tea, they can fire it which results in a smokier aroma and flavor. Note the shiny and smooth, pellet-like appearance of the dry leaves.
Brewing instructions- infuse in 80 C water for 2 – 3 minutes, always add water to the tea, not the reverse! 1 cup water to 1 tsp / 2 g of tea.
Gunpowder tea pairs well with smoky-flavoured foods and cocktails.
